For Jurgis, basketball has been part of his life for more than 18 years, allowing him to play competitively in three different countries and giving him experiences and connections he will cherish forever. He went to the United States when he was 16 years old to chase his basketball dream and the journey was full of highs and lows. Without the right guidance, it wasn’t always smooth, and at one point, he even lost the love he had for the game. However, his chapter in the US also gave him perspective. Jurgis realized that what he truly wants is to use his story to guide others. Today, he is dedicated to helping student-athletes avoid the mistakes he made, keep their passion alive, and help them achieve their dreams.

For Henrikas, basketball has been a lifelong journey, opening doors to education, travel, and unforgettable experiences. While his path didn’t lead to a professional basketball career, it showed him what he truly wanted to do in life – he became a FIBA certified basketball agent. Today, he is dedicated to guiding the next generation of student-athletes to reach the opportunities and goals in the United States that he once chased himself.
From personal challenges to empowering the next generation

We went to the U.S. chasing our basketball dreams but faced challenges off the court - housing issues, host family struggles, and team setbacks that distracted us from our goals.
That experience inspired the NLA Academy: a platform that gives student-athletes the guidance, resources, and connections we once lacked - so they can focus on excelling in academics and sports.
Our mission goes beyond sports: we’re here to shape the next generation of Next Level Athletes.
